Synopsis

Welcome to Straitened Times, a compelling visual novel made by HRelease that explores the life of a young man thrust into the role of caretaker for a small, non-blood-related commune. Once living a content and peaceful life, everything changes when the Father of their community is arrested for financial thievery. Forced to leave their former home, the group finds themselves starting over from the bottom, in a dingy two-room motel—the only place they can afford.

In Straitened Times, you must guide the protagonist as he adapts to his new role as the man of the commune. With the once-stable foundation of their lives shattered, he must now navigate the complexities of sharing close quarters with Mother Superior, a holy Father figure, and two novice Sisters. Each woman brings her own unique personality and challenges to the story, making every decision crucial to the direction of their shared future.
